Ben Affleck Flick Inspires Real Life Bank Heist

It's a scenario that seems solely fit for the silver screen but for two Chicago criminals, the plot of Ben Affleck's 'The Town' was a roadmap for a real life robbery.

On Sunday afternoon in Palos Heights, Illinois, a male and female wearing rubber nun masks and traditional habits stormed a TCF bank -- giving patrons a shocking parallel between the real life heist and the blockbuster thriller in which Affleck's character and crew pull off an identical robbery, according to FOX.

Both of the masked robbers, who were carrying a revolver and a semi-automatic pistol, jumped over the teller counter before demanding that two employees open the bank's vault. The pair then proceeded to fill a duffel bag with cash before exiting the bank, jumping into a tinted window Chevrolet. No one was hurt in the heist and the dollar number of stolen cash has yet to be released.

All Chicago needs now is a Jon Hamm to hunt down these copycat criminals.
