‘X-Men: First Class’ Opens Strong With $3.4 Million in Midnight Showings

X-Men: First Class is expected to do well at the box office this weekend after its midnight showings grossed about $3.4 million!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox is happy with the midnight grosses, and the film has slightly bested Thor‘s first-night ticket sales ($3.3 million).

Fox reports that the film should earn between $48 million and $55 million, which would rank it between openings for Batman Begins and the first X-Men.

However, if X-Men: First Class continues to do as well as Thor, then it could open at closer to $65 million.

X-Men: First Class has been praised in reviews and stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, January Jones, Nicholas Hoult, Zoë Kravitz and Kevin Bacon.
